For whatever reason, I kept putting off doing a real photoshoot for Lemoine.
I did some smaller photoshoots for product shots, but never a big REAL one with kids and lifestyle photos. I always had an excuse "I don’t have enough products yet. I’ll wait until the new stuff comes in. The photos I have are fine. I can take some myself" and the list goes on. Seems silly because if you have a business that sells products - you need photos. But that was my brain.
For website hero images, I’d piece together photos and try to add different creative elements myself—which was always a bit of a struggle because I am definitely not a graphic designer. It took me forever every time and never quite looked the way I wanted it to.
Then I was talking to Della Watters and thought ok I have to do this and booked the shoot.
I just updated the website with all of her photos and it feels like a pretty big win for me. The site feels more cohesive, more professional and shows how the products look and feel in the real world.
I think that’s a lot of small business ownership—waiting until you have the next product, more sales, more money, more time, or until everything feels “ready.” Meanwhile, half the time you’re figuring it out as you go, doing jobs you have absolutely no qualifications for, and hoping eventually it all starts to come together.
Anyway, I’m pretty proud of this one and I hope you like it! A little peek into what goes on in my brain while running Lemoine.
